National Truth and Reconciliation day, September 30, challenges us to be Salt and Light in the world and let our deeds of love, truth and reconciliation show who Jesus is. As a church called to “Love God and Others Where We Live and Gather”, we feel it is vital that we display that love by engaging in this process.

Starting September 24, we embark on a 4-week journey to engage with the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action directly related to the church. This series includes pre-service classes, sermons, an introduction of a land acknowledgment, and a Blanket exercise.

Please prepare for this series by setting aside time for prayer and reflection on Reconciliation and our role in it. Additionally, Please listen to the attached FBC Podcast which will give you valuable insight into this topic. We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with calls 43, 49, and 59 from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The series will conclude with a Blanket exercise on Oct 15, and we strongly encourage all of you to participate.
