We at FBC are committed to seeing parents as the PRIMARY SPIRITUAL GUIDES of their children.
We believe that children are a gift from God and we can offer no greater gift to our children than an ongoing and eternal relationship with Jesus. Being a part of a church family can play a key role in a child's life as they build lasting relationships with people who care about them.
Our children and youth ministry team has a vision statement as follows:
'We are a team supporting and providing opportunities for children and families to discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ'.
Kid’s Club & Youth Schedule for February
All kids first join everyone in the sanctuary. After the Children’s Story, they are dismissed to the gym for large group activities and then to classes as follows:
Preschool to Grade 1 | Rooms 102 &103
Grades 2-5 | Rooms 200 & 201
Grades 6-7 | Atrium room
Grades 8 and up | Will be serving as Jr. Leaders during the month of February. Any teens not assigned to a class are encouraged to join the service in the sanctuary.
Our children are an important part of our church family so we encourage our families to stay in the worship gathering until they go for their own time of learning and worship. We have classes for every age from infants to Grade 5.
All Grade 6 students and upwards are encourage and discipled in serving the church whether it's as assistants to the adult volunteers in a classroom or helping out in some way in the sanctuary. We want to help them feel valued and to encourage to find their place in the church as a whole.
We recognize the value of meaningful, long term relationships so we seek to ensure that our children have continuity of leaders and familiar faces. We are grateful for all the volunteers who faithfully teach, lead and love our children out of a deep sense of God's calling.
