IT IS RECOMMENDED FOR KIDS 7 AND UP. PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING THEIR OWN VIDEO GAMES. ALL PARTICITPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE TURNS AND REPECT THE FORMAT AND OTHER PLAYERS.

MISSION STATEMENT
Gaming Disciples of Christ (GDOC) acknowledges that media entertainment is inherently selfish with a potentially negative influence on kids.
GDOC exists to:
•Develop and foster a fun, safe gaming community for preteens
•Reach preteens through their love of gaming
•Disciple preteens to live out their calling from Christ
•Encourage preteens to exercise self-control with regards to media consumption
•Teach preteens to make the most of technology in service to others
Preteens across the board enjoy video games, both boys and girls. There is a danger for the amount of screen time kids and teens are interacting each day. How can you use screen time and reflect it back to Christ? Make a fun games night (include board games too, and new games they have never have seen before. Examples; darts, crib,). Includes food and a message. This is an outreach event for all kids who come.
ALPHA-OMEGATHON
For the newbs, it is a tournament of all sorts of games and in the end only one will be left standing and be known as an Alpha-Omeganaut.
AO-nauts usually win a fairly-awesome prize and get to help decide the games to be played at the next AO-thon.
What games are we gonna play you ask? Let's just say if you consider it a game, we can play it. HOWEVER! If the game is too violent or contains bad stuff, we won't play it.
Gaming hardware that may be present: PS2,PS3, Ps4, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Wii, Sega, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo, Atari, and others. Board games and card games may also be present.
