Ever notice as you get further away from the light it is harder to see! When John recorded in Rev 2:4-6 that God was going to remove the Church's lampstand, it wasn't because of their lack of effort or errant theology. It was that something had distracted the church's focus from the main thing: a love relationship with Christ. John is saying that it doesn't matter what a church is right about if it is wrong about its relationship with God. God is more concerned with our love for Him and to demonstrate His love to the world around us.
I wonder if we find it hard to see and find our way when the light is moved and we no longer shine the light on our relationship with God and our love for others?
